About the Founder
Dr. Jason Cody Douglass
(Yale University BA, MA, PhD)
Jason coaches clients to achieve their loftiest goals, manage their energy, enhance their focus, and sharpen their speaking, writing, and critical thinking skills. His college-bound students consistently gain admittance to one or more of their best-fit schools, including Ivy League and other highly selective US institutions, as well as myriad programs at public and private universities across Japan, Canada, UK, and other countries.
In addition to working one-on-one with boarding school, graduate school, and university applicants, he helps parents navigate education-related decisions, provides career and performance coaching to working professionals, and consults with international and boarding schools on projects ranging from academic accreditation and curriculum creation to workshops on writing, research, and college readiness.
Before founding Cerulean in Tokyo, Japan, he taught undergraduate students at Sarah Lawrence College and Yale, graduate and professional school students through Yale’s Graduate Writing Lab, and high school students at Yale Young Global Scholars. He has served as both Japan Foundation Fellow and Visiting Researcher at Waseda University.
Coaching Services for Youth
All sessions are tailored to the goals and needs of each student. Sessions are held either online or in our Shibuya office. While we are happy to support those in other timezones, sessions are exclusively conducted between 9AM and 9PM JST.
